I just ran across a great blog, Peter Nelson’s The Treehouse Guy. He wrote several great treehouse books, some of which were the inspiration to make my own treehouse.

House for rent (that has my treehouse on it) in Corralitos, ca

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Most of my family lives in Hawaii, but they still have a house over here in Corralitos, Santa Cruz County, California. My dad decided we should rent it out, so it will be available (starting in April or May).

What is special about this house? Well, my treehouse is on the property, although it is going to not be included in the rental so we have a place to visit and stay at.

My dad posted the following on craigslist:

Artisan Tree & Treehouse

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

I’ve always loved treehouses, and eventually I hope to build a few more on my property. Until then, I’ll have to live vicariously through other treehouse builders. Steve Chmielnicki, of Rosemont, PA, is an excellent treehouse builder who is open for business. Take a look at some of his work:

Feel free to contact Steve via his website: http://www.artisantrees.com and go get a custom treehouse of your own built!

Tree Habitat (another treehouse!)

Thursday, March 9th, 2006

One of my friend’s, Dan, built a treehouse. He put some pictures up on a website: www.treehabitat.com. Be sure to check them out! I went over one day and gave him a helping hand one day; I wish I would have had more time to do stuff, but I was pretty busy.

Barbara Butler’s Treehouses and Play Structures

Saturday, December 31st, 2005

Barbara Butler, who has some great treehouses and play structures that have appeared in several treehouse books, has a great website: http://www.barbarabutler.com/. She offers both pre designed wooden play houses and 2-story play sets, as well as site-specific, redwood play structures and children’s treehouses that come in all shapes and sizes. Take a look at her website, and buy the book “Treehouses — the House that Jack Built”, which features my treehouse and also one of Barbara’s structures.

Treehouse links

Monday, September 26th, 2005

I need to add some treehouse links. For now, I’ll just blog-em:

www.little-houses.com — not really a treehouse, but neat.
www.treehousebuilders.co.uk — some treehouse builders in the UK. They have a neat site started.
