Woodworking: Futurama Themed Cutting Board

Woodworking

Futurama Themed Cutting Board

This is a simple end grain cutting board made out of hard maple. I made a few of these to experiment with engraving and epoxy filling. It is difficult to fill the engraving without staining the wood, and I eventually landed on a technique that works really well.

This cutting board is small, but quite handy to cut things like cheese.

I’m a big fan of Futurama, and I thought it would be appropriate to put the knife wielding Roberto on the front. I sanded it a little too deeply, and it made it a bit more faint than I would have liked, but this is just a test prototype for my own personal use.
