This is a batman themed &#8220;Dark Knight&#8221; box made on my CNC router. The lid fits perfectly on top of the box and has a secret latching mechanism activated by magnets inside a small removable key that is the shape of the batman belt buckle. Whew! This turned out awesome, and I&#8217;m pretty happy with how well it worked out. Be sure to watch till the end of the video where I show more footage of the box and how the lock works. You can try to make this project yourself&#8230;download the CAD file for Fusion 360 and setup your own tool paths based on what I did. I did <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3nDRXZS\">a full step-by-step YouTube tutorial series on making a basic epoxy drip bowl<\/a>, from design to finishing it up in the shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Materials I used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/32PnHTt\">CA glue<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3kBwDSu\">Accelerator<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2HliAC8\">Tape<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8\/4 walnut; this would look even better in black walnut!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magnets &#8211; D62-N52 &amp; D72-N52 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kjmagnetics.com\">K&amp;J magnetics<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Steel nails (Home Depot, Lowes, etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bearing: Uhh\u2026not sure what I used, something I had laying around. The bearing may not be necessary.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CNC router bits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3682iXN\">Haimer<\/a> &#8211; for indicating in and tramming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3iszADH\">3\/8&#8243; up-cut bit for roughing<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2FyGqtd\">1\/4&#8243; ball nose bit for final passes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/cnc_machine\">CNC machine<\/a><strong>*<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>** Regarding magnets: I would probably use some thicker magnets for the ellipse to get more strength. But doubling up the ones I had worked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*<\/strong> Regarding my machine: I love my Tormach PCNC!
