(That was a mouthful!) Here they are out of the mold:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"epoxy_business_card_process.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.corbinstreehouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/epoxy_business_card_process.jpg\" alt=\"making epoxy business cards\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I wish I would have put more of the white pigment into the pour. It looked good at this thickness, but after I thinned them down they lost a lot of the opaqueness, and looked a bit more transparent than I was originally shooting for.<\/p>\n<p>I clamped one side down, machined it flat with my CNC machine and flipped it over. I then used the \u201cblue tape and CA glue\u201d technique to attach it to my work table so I could bring it down to final card thickness:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"epoxy_business_card_making.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.corbinstreehouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/epoxy_business_card_making.jpg\" alt=\"Making epoxy business cards with a Tormach CNC \/ PCNC 1100\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t take any photos of the engraving process, but I just did a quick design in Illustrator and exported it to Fusion 360. I then used an engraving bit to do the etching.
