I discovered that the shadows were less apparent if I held it away from the paper, as opposed to just sitting it on the paper and taking a photo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"epoxy_art_fern_photo.jpg\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/epoxy_art_fern_photo.jpg\" alt=\"fern photo\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I opened them up Illustrator and converted the raster images into vector files using Image Trace. I did a YouTube video on this a while ago (search my YT page to find it), and I had several ones I ended up playing around with:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"ferns_illustrator.png\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ferns_illustrator.png\" alt=\"Ferns illustrator\" width=\"999\" height=\"558\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After that, I exported it as a DXF (they work better in Fusion 360) and edited the tool paths in Fusion.
