I generally write poetry for specific people. Here&#8217;s some of my older work; you can deduce who it was for by the year and month (if you know me well enough). this poem could be much better with some rework of a few parts.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>March 30, 2004<\/b><\/p>\n<p>if, but you may, realize how moonstruck i am.<br \/>\nahh, but an example.<\/p>\n<p>when i dauntlessly gaze upon you,<br \/>\nmy heart flutters from within,<br \/>\ntrying to escape, and take over my being.<br \/>\nall my senses begin to flee from me,<br \/>\nuntil, yes, my ears do work,<br \/>\nfor your melodic voice captures them with a whisper.<br \/>\nbut, i forget how it is to feel,<br \/>\nuntil a touch of your soft hand upon mine,<br \/>\nstarts a gentle spark of warmth,<br \/>\nrunning through my veins,<br \/>\nuntil it touches my heart,<br \/>\nand i realize i cannot smell,<br \/>\nbut, as you approach me closer i catch your aroma,<br \/>\ntill i want nothing more, than to taste your kiss,<br \/>\nat which, with no words from me,<br \/>\nyou promptly known and oblige,<br \/>\nwith a gentle press, of your lips upon mine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve always been fascinated with poetry.
